More About Me
As a first-generation college student, becoming a psychologist still feels a little surreal. I carry a deep sense of awe and responsibility in being trusted to hear people’s stories, witness their pain and strength, and walk beside them as they find hope and agency. For me, this work is also about speaking up and advocating for change. I am not just to help people cope, but to help them thrive, feel seen, and know they matter.
I believe travel and reading are the antidotes to prejudice. They open our eyes to new perspectives, cultures, connections, and ways of thinking. They replace assumptions with understanding and reveal the beauty and strength woven into the people and stories of the world. I love the adventure both bring, and the thrill of discovering something new, whether it’s halfway across the globe or hidden in the pages of a book.
I am also a big fan of fruit smoothies, snuggle time with my cat, rainy days, and nights clear enough for stargazing.
